OABSoftware has released a media center software for Windows Mobile called Mobile Media Center 1.0.2. which is a one stop application for all your media needs - play music, videos, view images, photos, Podcast, and RSS feeds. Cab download from here. Tested this finger friendly media center, works well on my Diamond 2, see screenshots. Video can go fullscreen. Picture slideshow is very good, full screen very clear. Music player has big LCD screen light off button. The path setting to your various media can be set easily with browser.

The Samsung Omnia 2 is indeed a powerful device as seen in this pretty detailed video review here. In this video we can see the Touchwiz widgets and 3D Cube UI in operation clearly. The video playback seems fast thanks to its 800 Mhz processor. The 3D photos and song album selection interface is very good. With it large 3.7 inch Amoled screen it is definitely a device worth waiting for. It is expected to be sold by August 2009 with Windows Mobile 6.5 OS onboard.

The buzz is on again for the Pink Phone project - Microsoft's secretive mobile phone. Just as HTC has pulled the rug off Microsoft's feet with that HTC Hero running Android instead of WM, Microsoft looks like it may be having the last laugh. Zdnet reported that Microsoft has recruited an AD agency to spearhead its Pink Phone publicity blizz. Pink will build on top of the core Windows Mobile 7 platform.

The iPhone, Palm Pre and Android Phones all have capacitive screens while Windows Mobile devices have mainly stuck to using resistive screens. A Microsoft technical staff on his blog here explains why. With the debut of WM 6.5 which has gesture support, some upcoming Windows Mobile devices may have capacitive screen also.
